Artist Mohannan V exhibits his 40 mixed medium, acrylic and oil paintings at Lalithakala Academy Art Gallery, Trivandrum.
Artist seems to be shattered by today's society where humanity and selflessness were replaced by selfishness, boundless cruelty towards innocent children & helpless women , inability to love fellow beings and the absence of kindness from human mind.
Each of his paintings depicts the painful scar that was left behind. They express the subtle roar towards the society. Being a former naxalite, the artist narrates through his works the oppression and brutalities he himself went through during the emergency period.
Fim Maker Adoor Gopalakrishnan inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of artists R. George, Chitrabhanu and film critic C.S. Venkiteswaran.
The exhibition is at kerala Lalithakala Academy Art Gallery at Vyloppilly samskrithy Bhavan, Trivandrum from 24th March and concludes at 28th March 2017.
